Welcome Members!
Lexington MA FCU has merged into Common Trust FCU. Members will gain access to Common Trust FCU’s systems, including new debit and credit cards, and expanded access to products, services, and delivery channels not previously available. Additionally, members will have access to three more branch locations.
All staff from both credit unions will remain employed, ensuring a smooth transition with no disruption to personal connections that members are accustomed to. The merger aims to enhance member benefits by providing a broader range of services and convenient access to multiple locations.

What Will Change for You?
We want to assure you that your accounts, products, and services will remain secure throughout and after the merger process. There will be no disruptions to your membership rights or benefits. This merger is designed to bring added value and convenience to your banking experience. Critical Dates Timeline
January 1 - February 28th: Lexington MA FCU members with credit cards should apply for new Common Trust FCU Mastercard.
February 23, 2026: Current Lexington MA FCU Debit Cards will stop working.
Prior to February 28, 2026: Members will receive their new debit cards.
February 28 - March 1, 2025: System Merger takes place. Services will be temporarily unavailable due to the conversion.
March 2, 2025: Merged services and products become available to all members and activcate new debit cards.
FAQs
Will my account number change?
Yes, your account number and suffixes will change. All members will be assigned a 6-digit member number. Depending on your current number, here’s how it may change:
If your current member number has 5 digits: A 7 will be added to the front. (Ex: 12345 → 712345)
If your current member number has 4 digits: A 70 will be added to the front. (Ex: 1234 → 701234)
If your current member number has 3 digits: A 700 will be added to the front. (Ex: 123 → 700123)
If you already have a 6-digit member number that starts with a 7: No changes will be made to your number.
If your 6-digit member number starts with a number other than 7: The first digit will be replaced with a 7. (Ex: 987654 → 787654)
Will my current debit card still work?
Current debit cards will stop working the Monday before Conversion Weekend February 23, 2026. You will receive a new debit card before the conversion that can’t be activated until Monday March 2, 2026.
Will there be changes to my Savings and Checking Accounts?
Yes, the member number and suffixes for Savings, Checking, and Club Accounts will change. Your current checks will continue to work after March 1, 2026, and you will receive new checks the next time you need to reorder after March 1, 2026.
What happens to my existing loans?
Existing loans will not change. Loan payments will continue to be sent to the same address.
Will there be service interruptions during the merger?
Yes, all systems will be down during the conversion weekend until the merger is complete.
How can I obtain my new login credentials?
Instructions for new login credentials will be provided to members prior to the conversion.
Will the routing number change?
Any authorized debit or credit that you already have set up then you don’t need to change them but as of March 1, 2026, any new ones that you set up you should use the new routing number (211386953).
Will fees change?
Yes, members will now follow the Common Trust Fee Schedule, available at www.commontrustfcu.org/fee-schedule.
Will I need to update my automatic payments and payroll deductions?
No, existing automatic payments and payroll deductions will continue as usual.
How do I contact the credit union if I have more questions?
Members can reach out to the CEO at CTFCU.
What will happen to my current Lexington MA FCU Credit Card?
After January 1, members should go to our online credit card application and apply for a new Common Trust Mastercard. We will ask all members to apply for their new CTFCU Mastercard prior to February 28, 2026. Members should contact the credit union if they have any questions regarding converting their credit card.
